Rob Treese has been working in the construction industry for over 25 years, with experience in stone and tile installation, excavation and general construction.
He began full-time as a stone and tile installer in 1993, and was employed by his California tile contracting company for 7 years. After gaining valuable trade and business experience he felt ready to branch out on his own, receiving his California tile contractor’s license in 2000. His numerous contacts brought him to Maui in 2001 and he knew that he had found his new home. He travelled between San Diego and Maui for various tile projects until 2005, when he decided to permanently relocate to Maui and begin working with long time associate and Coastline co-owner Greg Frederick.

Greg Frederick has over 20 years of experience in the stone and tile trade. He worked as an apprentice with Coastline co-owner Rob Treese in California, and quickly advanced his knowledge and skill to perform at journeyman level. He also received his California tile contractor’s license in 2004, overseeing tile crews on multi-million dollar residential and commercial projects.
In 2005, he and Rob began working together in Maui, and after many successful projects decided to create the company that they had always dreamed of.
